• Baseball Select is in addition to regular Hart rec/drafted teams and is designed to prepare those players who are interested in potentially representing Hart in PONY's post season play.  

• Players wishing to play Hart Baseball Select MUST be registered and participate in Hart’s recreation league in the season concurrent to the select program.  The Rec team commitment is to be prioritized above Select, if a conflict in schedule occurs.  We ask you register by November 30th, 2023.

• Players who are selected for the Baseball Select program must remain registered at Hart throughout the season; if a player who is selected for Baseball Select drops or withdraws from the league, they are no longer eligible for Baseball Select.  Any drops are subject to Hart’s refund policy as stated.

• Being chosen to participate with the Hart Baseball Select program does not guarantee any future team placement (tournament team selection, National division, if applicable, etc) for either players OR managers.  Hart Select Oversight Committee reserves the right to remove any Manager, Coach, or player at any time.  

• Managers will be chosen by the Hart Select Oversight Committee and must also manage a rec. team in the coinciding season.  If you’re interested in managing a Select team, please complete the manager application which can be found on the Hart website under “League Rules & Forms” and send it to your respective league director..  Current league directors:  5U - Tom Clemente  - 6U - Pat Downs - 7U & 8U - Wil Davis - 9U & 10U - Julie Miller - 11U & 12U - Jared Liu-Klein - 13U & 14U - Skyler Tobey

• Baseball Select will run through May 1.

• For Spring 2024 there will be one (1) team per age group. At the discretion of the Hart Select Oversight Committee, age groups may be combined, if necessary, or teams added, respectively.  This will be based on interest by managers, players, as well as scheduling with our partner Leagues..

• Players must play in their respective age group, unless ages are combined, as outlined above.  If there is a dedicated team formed for that age, there is  NO playing up/down.

• One additional activity per week (practice, scrimmage, etc.), generally on Sundays and may take place off the Hart complex.  Practices will take place at the Hart Complex and will be free of charge.  Games will likely be away; both likely twice a month.

• Baseball Select activities must not interfere with regular rec league games or practices.

• Number of players per team may vary, per manager discretion.  A 12-15 player roster will likely be the norm.

• There will be tryouts.  Not everyone interested will make it. Any player wishing to participate in Baseball Select should be registered with Hart by December 10th and attend the Select tryout(s), expected to be December 11th - December 15th. 

• An email with tryout information for Baseball Select  will be sent in late November to those players who are registered for Hart Spring 2024. Keep an eye out for the email with instructions on how to sign up for the tryout.

• The time and date for Baseball Select tryouts are TBD, but will more than likely happen December 11th - December 15th.  These dates are subject to change.

• Players wishing to participate in Baseball Select should be registered prior to tryouts.  Exceptions will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

• Any additional costs for Baseball Select will be covered by participating families (umpires, spirit wear, etc). All spirit wear, including dry fits/jerseys must read ‘Hart’. 

• An informal parent meeting will be held in early January.
